Noor Ahmad, playing his first match for Chennai Super Kings, scalped four wickets and gave away just 18 runs. Khaleel Ahmed took three wickets as well. In response, Chennai Super Kings won the match with five balls to spare. Ruturaj Gaikwad struck a quickfire 53 off 26 and Rachin Ravindra's patient 65* off 45 deliveries was enough to see CSK home. For Mumbai Indians, young spinner Vignesh Puthur made a memorable debut, taking three wickets but his effort ultimately went in vain. Noor Ahmad was adjudged Man of the Match.
