With several highly anticipated films releasing today, on April 10, to mark this year’s Vishu, Malayalam cinema fans are in for a treat.

Among them is Mammootty’s much-awaited action-thriller Bazooka. The film has finally hit the theatres and early reactions are positive. Bazooka, the directorial debut of Deeno Dennis, has already been creating waves for its execution, background score and the South superstar’s larger-than-life presence.

On X, many fans shared their reactions to the first half of the movie. A major section of Mammootty’s fans was impressed by his entry and his title card. One fan said, “#Bazooka first half literally nailed it! Deeno Dennis shows his man with an absolute swag and aura! The megastar title card set the theater on fireuhh! Second half soooooonnn #Mammootty."

Bazooka is an action-packed thriller written and directed by Deeno Dennis. Produced by Yoodlee Films and Theatre of Dreams, it features Mammootty and Gautham Vasudev Menon in the lead roles. It tells the story of a cop and businessman who team up to capture a serial killer through a series of elaborate games. Apart from the two stars, Bazooka also features Babu Anthony, Neeta Pillai, Gayathiri Iyer and Divya Pillai in supporting roles.

Bazooka’s music is composed by Saeed Abbas. Its cinematography is done by Nimish Ravi, and the film is edited by Nishadh Yusuf and Praveen Prabhakar.
