WWE Superstar Shakeup Day 1: Jinder Mahal, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn & Others Moved to Monday Night RAW

Nothing is impossible when it comes to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). The ‘Superstar Shakeup’ on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW saw a lot of surprise returns to the flagship brand of the company. Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Natalya, Bobby Roode, and United States Champion Jinder Mahal amongst many other WWE Superstars were drafted from SmackDown LIVE. In a surprise move, The Miz was the only RAW Superstar to be drafted to the blue brand by RAW General Manager Kurt Angle.

Earlier, there seemed to be a controversy in the middle of the show when The Miz welcomed both, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to the show. The RAW GM made an appearance and said that both Sami and Kevin had a chance to win a RAW contract last week, but failed to do so.

However, in a turn-of-events, Sami Zayn read out a mail from RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon which they had received only moments ago. The letter was about Kurt Angle’s mishandling of the situation of Sami and Kevin, and that she would not want RAW to miss out on top two talents, and hence she’d be awarding them contracts.

In a major rejig to the RAW roster, many superstars made appearances on the RAW brand. We take a look at the list of WWE Superstars that were drafted on Superstar Shakeup, Day One:

The recent episode of Monday Night RAW was quite exciting as it also saw Jeff Hardy win the United States Championship from Jinder Mahal. Also, the arrival of United States Championship arrival to the red brand means that the WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins would move to the blue brand on Day Two of the ‘Superstar Shakeup’.

It was heartening to see highly-talented WWE Superstars – Bobby Roode, Dolph Ziggler, and Baron Corbin amongst many – arrive on the RAW roster. There were hardly any notable storylines for them on the blue brand.

The second day of the WWE draft will take place, on April 17, at SmackDown LIVE episode, where the newly-appointed General Manager Paige would be seen making a slew of additions to the roster. With the first day of the two-day event being so exciting, one cannot predict with what could happen on the second day of the WWE Superstar Shakeup.
