A 37-year-old woman from Malappuram gave birth to a baby girl while travelling on a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus. The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon when she was travelling. The woman suddenly went into advanced labour and started experiencing intense contractions. The alert bus driver changed routes and drove the bus to Amala Hospital. The bus staff informed the hospital about the emergency situation. Upon arriving at the hospital, the passengers were asked to get off the bus so the medical staff could attend to the lady. As the woman was close to giving birth, doctors and hospital staff rushed to the bus to assist her with the delivery. Thanks to the quick actions of the bus driver, staff, and medical team, the baby was delivered safely.
