UConn is offering a football clinic for women

The UConn Huskies will hold a football clinic for female fans in June. The one-night class is intended to teach women "everything from the basic fundamentals of the game to finer intricacies," and attendees will go through football drills with UConn coaches and players. The registration cost for the clinic is $40, and a cash bar will be available.

UConn spokesman Mike Enright told the Associated Press that the clinic is not meant to be condescending.

"We understand that many of these women may know more about the game than a lot of men. This is something that fans from those with virtually no knowledge of the game to a very intricate knowledge of the game can get something from."
