Lucknow, December 8: The soldier allegedly involved in the Bulandshahr firing case which resulted in the death of two people involving inspector Singh, was detained by his unit in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, said Army sources. 22 Rashtriya Rifles in Sopore town detained Jitendra Malik alias Jeetu Fauji, the alleged soldier who shot at the inspector during the mob violence in Bulandshahr on Monday, December 3. However, his brother Dharmendra Malik has claimed that his brother is being "trapped in a conspiracy" and that he is not involved in the killing of inspector Subodh Kumar Sharma. He also added that he has the evidence to prove that his brother is innocent and requested CM Yogi Adityanath for help. After the tragic Bulandshahr violence, Sitapur SP Prabhakar Chaudhary has been appointed as new SSP Bulandshahr. Chaudhary will replace Krishna Bahadur Singh who has now been transferred to DGP Headquarters, Lucknow. UP government has also transferred two other policemen, The circle officer of Siana Satya Prakash has been transferred to Moradabad's police training centre while the local chowki in-charge Suresh Kumar has been transferred to Lalitpur district. Meanwhile, family of slain police inspector Subodh Kumar Singh, who was killed after getting attacked by a violent mob protesting alleged cow slaughter in Bulandshahr reached Aligarh Police Headquarter on Saturday. SSP Aligarh said that as an expression of solidarity towards the family of slain cop, an amount of Rs 11 lakh will be given to his family by UP police. The police has also assured the family of all kinds of assistance but the main accused Yogesh Raj is still out of reach for the police.
