Mumbai, August 23: Air India has asked its attendants to take down videos where a bunch of cabin crew members, most of them in their 20s, shot a song and dance sequences in their uniform and uploaded it on social media platforms. According to a Times of India report, the airlines warned their attendants and asked them to take down the videos without any delay, failing which strict actions will be taken.
Air India as quoted in the report said, "Several videos are being posted by cabin crew in uniform on YouTube, Music.Ly, Facebook and other platforms, which are not only in bad taste but also doesn't reflect well on the company. "
The note further asked the crew to refrain from posting such videos, while on duty. On social media, there are videos of other airline crew members also dancing, singing and taking up several challenges wearing their uniforms. Air India is recently in the news for delaying the salaries of their employees for the fifth consecutive month. A week back, it has finally paid the July salaries of their employees. The national carrier had grounded 19 planes due to lack of spare parts, leading to flight cancellations. Reports informed that this caused a huge loss to the revenue on a daily basis.
