The makers of The Lion King wanted the best actors to lend their voice for its Hindi and Tamil versions. After roping in Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan as Mufasa and Simba for its Hindi version, they approached South actor Arvind Swami to lend his voice for Scar in its Tamil version. Interestingly this isn't Arvind's first collaboration with The Lion King and his association goes back a long way. The Lion King Teaser: Shah Rukh Khan's Deep Voice For Mufasa Will Win Your Heart Instantly (Watch Video)

For the ones who don't know, the actor had earlier lent his voice for the character of Simba in the 1994 release, The Lion King. From then till now, nothing much has changed except that he'll now give a voiceover for Simba's evil uncle, Scar, in its Tamil version. After Rang De Basanti actor, Siddharth was roped in as Simba, Arvind Swamy is the latest addition. Though we still wonder who will dub for Mufasa. The Lion King Trailer: Simba Finds His Place in the Circle of Life in Jon Favreau’s Dazzling Live-Action Adaptation of Disney Property – Watch Video.

The makers have also released The Lion King's new Hindi promo with Shah Rukh Khan's voiceover as Mufasa. The actor's deep voice was apt for the character and we can't wait to hear Aryan as Simba. We are so looking forward to the remake by Jon Favreau. The movie is all set to hit the screens on July 19, 2019.
