If there is one thing that you can't take credit away from former choreographer-turned-director Remo D'Souza, it is his craft of creating some very eye-dazzling dance sequences. You have ample evidence of that in his ABCD films. The same is on display in his latest film, Street Dancer 3D. If you are a huge fan of Indian reality shows like Dance India Dance (judging which gave Remo nation-wide popularity) and Super Dancer, then Street Dancer 3D, starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, has plenty to impress you. Street Dancer 3D Movie Review: Watch Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor’s Film for the Fantastic Dance Sequences.

The movie falters when it comes to scripting the narrative surrounding these dance moments. But the technical finesse and the choreography involved in bringing the dance moments alive, especially the ones shown in the third act, have to be lauded. Here's a look at the five best dance moments of the many in Street Dancer 3D:

Muqabla 2.0

It is always a treat to see Prabhu Deva do the thing that he does best - dance. And it is a bigger treat to see him dance to his breakout song, "Muqabla" (from the Tamil film Kadhalan). You may have reservations about Street Dancer 3D as a movie, but it is impossible not to whistle when the master of breakdance shows off his smooth moves when he takes the centre-stage.

Bezubaan Reprise

Never mind the cloying manner in which this dance sequence is built up - Sahej (Varun Dhawan) returning to his roots in the most contrived way possible. But it leads to a very electrifying performance as both the rival gangs, Street Dancers and Rule Breakers, come together for a dazzling act. The icing on the cake is when it rains (?) and the dancers use that to create some wonderful dance moves.

Mile Sur Mera Tumhara

It is always lovely to hear the Bhimsen-Joshi composed track, "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara" anytime. Remo uses the recreated version of the song to give a very patriotic flavour to the final performance of the heroes in the film. The spirit of the song represents the Indian subcontinent rather than India, and talks of solidarity in the times of diversity. The choreography is simply amazing, the track makes the best use of Varun and Shraddha's dancing skills, the DID gang is fantastic here and it leaves you on a high. Street Dancer 3D: From Varun Dhawan-Shraddha Kapoor’s Kiss to a Fight Sequence, These Scenes From the Trailer That Went Missing and Why! (SPOILER ALERT).

The Dance-Off

A Still from Street Dancer 3D

After Prabhu Deva, Nora Fatehi is one who leaves you the most impressed with her dancing skills. Her intro sequence where she dances with her British troupe is bound to fill the theatre-halls with wolf-whistles. But it is the face-off that she and Varun have with Shraddha's team, where Nora steals the show. There is some fab choreography in the scene, and the cincher is the above step. Seeing how lovely she dances, it is a wonder why Remo has never though of elevating Nora to a lead star status for the next ABCD movie.

Garmi

Badshah's "Garmi" track has some very inane lyrics and a very hilarious step that involves Nora humping the dance-floor. But it definitely raises the temperature with the fiery chemistry between Varun and Nora, and the dance face-off between Street Dancers and the Royals is just an added bonus.
