USC wide receiver manhandles cornerback with the stiff arm of the year
The USC Trojans stunned Utah at the Coliseum Saturday, handing the Utes their first loss of the season in a 42-24 blowout. Freshman linebacker Cameron Smith had three interceptions, including a pick-six, while sophomore wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster led the team with 143 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Smith-Schuster caught a 25-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, but his highlight of the game was a phenomenal stiff arm that sent cornerback Dominique Hatfield out of bounds.
Smith-Schuster revealed after the game that he set up the stiff arm to get revenge for Hatfield's incessant trash talk.

"[Hatfield is] probably the kid who talks the most trash in one game. Probably in one series. I’m like, ‘Dude, I’m not even about that.’ And it got to the point where I was like, ‘OK, I’m about to embarrass you.’ What he said to me was, ‘Don’t put me on ESPN. Why are you trying to put me on ESPN?’ I’m like, ‘Dude, I’m just doing my job, trying to have fun.’ On the one play and I’m like, ‘OK, I’m just going to give you the stiff-arm and throw you out of bounds and then turn up.’"
